Yemeni army: 341 Houthi violations of the UN armistice in 5 days

The Yemeni military said on Thursday that the Iranian Houthi militia continues to violate the UN truce on all fronts of the fighting in the governorates of Marib, Al-Jawf, Saada, Hajjah, Abyan, Al-Hodeidah, Taiz and Al-Dhalea , underlining its commitment to a complete ceasefire in implementation of the directives of the political and military leadership.

And Yemeni army forces monitored the Houthi militia committing 341 violations during the 5 days of Eid (April 30 – May 4).

The media center of the Yemeni army said, in a statement that the Houthi militia made 113 breaches on the fronts surrounding the governorate of Ma’rib, 69 breaches on the fighting fronts west of Hajjah, 65 breaches on the fronts of the Taiz axis, 43 breaches on the al-Jawf fronts and 43 breaches in the Al-Barah and Hays axes south of Hodeidah (only during Eid day, Monday 2 May), 4 violations in the Al-Dhale axis, 3 violations in the north and west of Saada and one violation of the axis of Abyan.

In addition to the violations, the Houthi militia carried out operations offensive and infiltration attempts into government forces on various fronts, including an offensive operation and more than 10 infiltration attempts in separate moments, according to the statement.

He added: “The army forces also monitored the Houthi militia which fired 8 missiles in two days to Yemeni and Saudi populated areas and to military sites, including 4 ballistic missiles and 4 Katyusha missiles, in an unprecedented escalation since the beginning of the truce “.

Hit the civilian neighborhoods

The statement pointed out that over the past five days, the populated villages of Maqbna, west of Taiz, and in the Hays district, south of Al-Hodeidah governorate, have been systematically targeted by the Houthi militia with various automatic weapons.

The Houthi militia also targeted the Taiz Security Administration building, adjacent to the College of Arts, Garden City Park and the Al-Ahly Club building, with mortar rounds in two separate operations, Wednesday, injuring 10 security men and civilians and causing damage to auto and homes, sowing terror and panic among the children and families who celebrated Eid al-Fitr in the nearby park.

For the past 120 hours, the Houthi militia has continued to target army positions on all fronts with artillery, miscellaneous shells, booby-trapped drones and snipers.

Following the Houthi bombing, which targeted the positions of government forces on the Jadafr front, east of Hazm Al-Jawf, one of the army personnel was killed and another wounded in the prime hours of Blessed Eid al-Fitr, according to the statement.

For the fifth consecutive day, the Houthi militia has doubled its business in fortification construction, trenching and road construction in separate places north, west and south of Marib, as well as creating new sites north, west and south of Marib, some of which were guns and snipers were deployed.

It has also sent human reinforcements, weapons and equipment to various fronts north, west and south of Marib, as well as massive and unprecedented reinforcements in thearea of Al-Arba’een in the northern front of the city of Taiz.

In this context, the chief of staff of the Yemeni army, the drowned commander of joint operations, Saghir bin Aziz, highlighted, on Thursday, the continuing violations of the UN truce by the Houthi militia since the first day of its announcement, underlining that the militia prove every day that it can live alone in in the midst of wars and destruction and exchanging the blood of the Yemenis in implementation.
