Yemeni President: We reserve the right to respond to the violations of Iranian-backed “Houthis”

The head of the Yemeni Presidential Council, Rashad Al-Alimi, warned that the Houthi terrorist attacks on economic infrastructure would torpedo efforts to pacenoting that his government reserves the right to respond to these violations supported by the Iranian regime.

The Yemeni president, during his meeting in Riyadh, said today, Monday, to the ambassadors of the permanent members of the Security Council and the European Union accredited in Yemen, that this escalation of the Houthi militia confirms the extent of its dependence on the Iranian regime, whose operations in the region are managed by its Revolutionary Guard from a black room, according to the statement his expression.

The meeting discussed, according to the official Yemeni news agency, the developments in the Yemeni arena and the repercussions of the Houthi terrorist escalation on the humanitarian situation and the pace and international security.

The Yemeni president praised the unified international position on the Yemeni question, stressing the adhesion of the Council and the government to a global solution to the crisis in compliance with the references agreed at national, regional and international level.

He reminded the group of foreign ambassadors of the efforts of pace against which the terrorist militias have turned, including the declaration of truce, in which the militias have proven to the world that they are not a serious partner for the pace.

President Al-Alimi also praised the position of the coalition countries in support of the legitimacy led by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, which provided all the structures for the success of the truce, noting in particular the initiative of the Kingdom to bring pacesecurity and stability in Yemen.

President of the Presidential Command Council has placed foreign ambassadors ahead of government measures to deter terrorist violations of international law in compliance with the National Defense Council’s decision to classify the Houthi militia as a terrorist organization, ensuring the humanitarian community takes its relief efforts into account in all country.

For its part, the group of foreign ambassadors commended the government’s efforts to alleviate human suffering and its serious handling of the truce efforts, and its full support for economic and service reforms led by the Presidential Leadership Council and the government in the liberated governorates was also confirmed.
