A team Algerian took second place in the world final of the Huawei “Technology for the Common Good” or “Tech4 Good”, organized by the company last Thursday, to provide solutions for AI-based drones used in farm field, and won a check for $15,000.

According to a statement from Huawei Algeria, this team Algerian, Farmi, which provides a solution to address the problems faced by agricultural companies using drones and artificial intelligence, was ranked second in the world, and stood out among 11 global startups, after it was presented to the members of the international arbitration panel, and so the Algerian team won a check for $15,000.

The source stated that the team “Pharm Eye” won the audience’s best choice award with more than 10,000 votes for the Algerian team, and the same team is expected to compete next February with two teams to win the $100,000 sponsorship.

The “Farm Eye” project highlights the era of agricultural empowerment through artificial intelligence, to achieve a disease-free farm, and is an early rust detection system that uses an artificial intelligence model to monitor fields of wheat with drones, and solves the problem of the large loss of wheat fields due to rust. .
