Zelensky launches a global platform to raise funds to help Ukraine win the war

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky on Thursday launched a global platform to raise funds to help Kiev win the war against Russia and rebuild the country’s infrastructure.

“With one click you can donate money to protect our defenders, rescue civilians and rebuild Ukraine by announcing the United24 platform,” said Zelensky. in an English video message posted on his Twitter account. “Every donation is important to victory,” Zelensky said.

“All the money will be transferred to the Ukrainian National Bank and assigned to the relevant ministries,” Zelensky said, noting that his government will update information “every 24 hours” on how the money was used.

Zelensky called on ordinary citizens from around the world to help Kiev defeat Moscow.

“Only together can we stop the war and rebuild what Russia has destroyed,” he said.

He stressed that Ukraine “will always remember” these contributions.

Kiev has received Western military assistance, but its army remains much smaller than the Russian army.

Zelensky, 44, has addressed the world’s parliaments almost daily, asking for help from his country since the beginning of the Russian offensive.
