Zelensky’s adviser scolds Musk – everything has been found out!

Since the beginning of the Russian military operation in Ukraine, relations between Kyiv and American billionaire Elon Musk have been up and down as differences began, starting with the operation of the Tesla owner-funded “Starlink” satellite network, meaning the availability of humanitarian and grassroots contacts for Ukrainians in the war with Russia, and since then the billionaire’s controversial statements about “reconciliation” between neighbors have angered Kiev, until another new one came.

Ukrainian presidential adviser Mikhail Podolak has accused Twitter owner Elon Musk of deliberately undermining the popularity of Ukrainian government pages on the site of social network.

“stimulate pessimism”

Podolak accused Musk of “inspiring pessimism” from Bluebird’s Ukraine-related pages.

Addressing him from the podium, he said: “Oh Elon, maybe the pessimism from the official accounts of Ukraine and their enforced isolation is enough? Everything has become very clear.”

Relational tension

Interestingly, in late October 2022, Musk acquired Twitter in a deal worth $44 billion.

That wasn’t the first sign of strained relations between Ukrainians and the American billionaire: Kiev’s anger at him escalated, prompting Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky to invite him to visit his country last December.

The president’s call came to brief Musk on the damage done to the country by Russian forces, as Zelensky saw then that such a visit could help the richest man in the world understand the situation before making any statements about war.

This came as part of an implicit rebuke by the Ukrainian president of Musk, the businessman who proposed a plan last year pace for Ukraine that included ceding territory to Russia, which angered Kiev.
