Zoe Ball paid tribute to her former co-star Paul O’Grady on her BBC Radio 2 Breakfast Show after hearing of his death at the age of 67. The pair worked together on Radio 2 before O’Grady’s controversial departure last year. He left after being asked to share his show with another presenter, Rob Beckett, and accused Radio 2 bosses of trying to attract a younger audience. Ball shared her memories of working with O’Grady on The Big Breakfast, where he would give her pep talks dressed as his alter ego Lily Savage.
