Strike two comes when Zola discovers Stefani X’s “roommate”, who accompanied them on the journey, it is in reality its protector. The rest of the film tells of Zola’s discomfort while she is blocked in Tampa with the unpleasant together, that also includes Stefani’s easy boy, Derrek.

Before things take a darker turn, humor draws you in characters’ world. A particularly hilarious and candid scene involves a prayer in a strip of Tampa club, where a woman in the locker room asks a higher power for men with “culture” and “good credit.”

The outfits in Zola are a flawless detail. Stefani and Zola step out of the car is in Tampa in dresses all pink and all blue.
