John Carpenter’s Toxic Commando Update 1.008.100 (v3.1) Patch Notes

The latest update for John Carpenter’s Toxic Commando, version 1.008.100 (v3.1), was released on September 14, 2026. This patch focuses on resolving progression blockers in specific missions and improving UI clarity for Retrieval mode across PlayStation 5, PC, and Xbox Series X|S.

While 1.008.100 is the specific platform build number, developer Saber Interactive identifies this as part of the Patch v3.1 content cycle. The update addresses several critical gameplay issues, most notably a bug that prevented players from reviving teammates in the Incapacitated state.

Mission and Mode Adjustments

Several missions received targeted fixes to ensure objectives trigger correctly and resources are available as intended:

  • Demon Bait: Fixed issues where spare parts would fail to appear and corrected “Attack” objective markers.
  • Deliver Us: Resolved a bug where bots would take unintended contamination damage following a player’s disconnection.
  • Retrieval Mode: Improved the visibility of Sludge Node icons on the HUD and corrected the spawning logic for anti-sludge vehicles.

Combat and Enemy Fixes

The update addresses specific animation interactions. A notable fix involves the Goon enemy type, which previously could become stuck in a permanent hit animation loop when triggered by Saw Traps. This update ensures enemy reactions to environmental hazards remain fluid without breaking AI behavior.

General combat stability has also been improved by resolving the revival bug, which previously left teams unable to recover during high-intensity encounters.

Visual and Character Updates

Minor visual bugs and customization errors have been addressed to improve the experience in menus and during gameplay:

  • Fixed Astrid’s default hair clipping through various headgear options.
  • Resolved display errors for DLC skins within the Trials menu.

Players can find the full technical breakdown in the official Steam Community notes from Focus Entertainment. These changes are currently live and required for online play.
