Rainbow Six Siege Update 1.000.154 Patch Notes: Y11S3.1 Live

Ubisoft has released the Y11S3.1 patch for Rainbow Six Siege. This update focuses on increasing the efficiency of soft-breach attackers and reinforcing standard defensive utility, specifically through major adjustments to Sledge and Castle.

Aggressive Utility Buffs: Sledge and Buck

The update prioritizes the speed and sustainability of primary soft-breachers. Sledge receives a notable increase in his destruction speed, while Buck gains additional longevity for his under-barrel gadget.

  • Sledge: The Breaching Hammer swing time is reduced to 0.8 seconds, down from 1.0 second. This change allows Sledge to clear soft surfaces and move through openings more quickly.
  • Buck: The total ammunition for the Skeleton Key is increased to 36, up from 31.

Defensive Resilience and Area Denial

Castle receives a direct buff to his Armor Panels, making them more difficult for attackers to remove without using explosive utility. The panels now require 10 melee hits to destroy, an increase from the previous 9 hits. In tactical play, this forces attackers to spend more time exposed if they choose to manual-breach a barricaded doorway.

Weapon and gadget damage values have also been adjusted across several operators to improve consistency in close-quarters combat:

  • M1014 Shotgun: Base damage increased to 30 HP (from 28 HP).
  • SPAS-15 Shotgun: Base damage increased to 26 HP (from 24 HP).
  • Thermite: The Exothermic Charge damage is increased to 220 HP (from 200 HP).

Operator Fixes and Match Replay Improvements

The Y11S3.1 patch addresses specific interactions with the operator Noor. A bug that caused Montagne’s Le Roc Shield to automatically retract when struck by Noor’s Horus Lance has been resolved, ensuring the shield remains deployed as intended during these engagements.

Additionally, Ubisoft has fixed a persistent issue in Match Replay where customized team colors would reset to default settings when entering or exiting the replay system. This fix ensures that player preferences for UI visibility are maintained during VOD review.

For players on PS5 and Xbox Series X/S, these changes collectively shift the meta toward a faster offensive pace for soft destruction while requiring more deliberate effort from attackers to clear defensive barriers.
