Behaviour Interactive has released update 10.200.200 (version 10.2.2) for Dead by Daylight on October 20, 2026. Available now for PS5, PC, and Xbox, this patch introduces a mechanical rework for the Dark Arrogance perk and prepares the game for the upcoming Stranger Things crossover event.
Dark Arrogance Perk Rework
The primary gameplay shift in this update focuses on Dark Arrogance. The perk has been redesigned to provide a consistent benefit to Killer basic attacks while maintaining its signature vaulting speed bonus.
- Attack Cooldown: Dark Arrogance now reduces basic-attack cooldowns by 10%. This reduction applies to missed, obstructed, and successful attacks.
- Vaulting Speed: The speed increase for vaulting is set at 15%, 20%, or 25% depending on the perk tier.
This adjustment makes the perk a more versatile tool for Killers who rely on basic attacks to maintain pressure, moving away from its previous niche utility.
Lights Out: Stranger Things Edition
The patch serves as the foundation for the “Lights Out: Stranger Things Edition” event. Scheduled to run from November 5 to November 12, 2026, the event will feature the high-tension, limited-visibility gameplay of the Lights Out modifier. As part of the preparations, Behaviour addressed a specific audio bug where The Dark Lord’s lullaby remained audible while in Bat form during Lights Out Trials.
Character and Map Bug Fixes
This update includes several technical fixes for maps and licensed characters, highlighting the ongoing support for crossover content.
- A2: Fixed a visual issue where A2’s hair animation would appear bent or distorted during scream animations.
- Nostromo Wreckage: Removed invisible collision around the meeting table that was unintentionally blocking projectiles.
- The Dark Lord: Resolved an issue where Bat form audio cues were functioning incorrectly in specialized trial modes.
Players can find the full technical breakdown in the official Dead by Daylight patch notes.
The 10.2.2 update ensures that projectile-based Killers can once again navigate the Nostromo Wreckage map without losing hits to invisible barriers, while the Dark Arrogance changes provide a fresh mechanical option for the current meta.
