Blackpool Pleasure Beach has officially launched its 2026 “Journey to Hell: Freak Nights,” introducing a significant format change to the annual Halloween event. This year, the attraction has expanded into an 11-hour all-day experience, running from 10:00 AM to 9:00 PM, marking a shift from the previous standalone evening sessions.
Several stars from Coronation Street were among the first to experience the revamped scares. Cait Fitton, who plays Lauren Bolton, and Sydney Martin, known as Betsy Swain, attended the opening night to face the park’s new roster of live actors and specialized zones. They were joined by younger cast members Jude Riordan (Sam Blakeman) and Grace Ashcroft-Gardener (Lily Platt), who were also spotted at the resort’s launch event.

New Mazes and Attractions for 2026
The 2026 season marks the debut of three distinct scare maze experiences designed to anchor the event’s horror theme. The new additions—Eternal Abyss, The Veil, and Deadline—each feature unique narratives and environmental triggers intended to provide high-intensity scares.
In addition to the walk-through mazes, the park has introduced a sensory-deprivation twist on one of its most popular rides. “ICON: Into the Void” challenges visitors to ride the double-launch rollercoaster while wearing blindfolds, removing all visual cues of the track’s drops and inversions to heighten the physical experience.
The transition between the daytime family atmosphere and the horror-themed evening begins. While the South Park area closes, the North Park transforms into a series of active scare zones. These areas feature live stage shows.
Event Logistics and Availability
The new 11-hour format is designed to provide a full day of park access leading into the specialized evening content. According to the park’s schedule, the full “Journey to Hell” experience is available in October 2026.
Ticket pricing for the nighttime event, which includes access to the three new scare mazes and “Into the Void,” starts between £40 and £60 depending on the selected package. While the standard park attractions remain accessible earlier in the day, the evening Freak Nights are geared toward a more mature audience due to the nature of the scare mazes and roaming performers.
