Cronos: The New Dawn Update 1.011 Adds Photo Mode and HDR Fixes

Bloober Team has released Update 1.011 for Cronos: The New Dawn, introducing a dedicated Photo Mode and technical adjustments for high dynamic range (HDR) displays. The update, which went live on October 26, 2026, is available across PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.

Photo Mode and Visual Enhancements

The primary feature of this update is the addition of a Photo Mode, allowing players to capture the game’s atmosphere with several customization tools. This mode includes adjustable camera settings, various screen filters, and stickers. This addition arrives alongside technical changes to the game’s lighting system.

Bloober Team has adjusted the HDR black and white levels to utilize the full HDR range more effectively. These changes provide more contrast and depth on compatible displays. Players who previously found the lighting range limited may see a more pronounced difference in dark and bright environments.

Bug Fixes and Gameplay Changes

A major focus of Update 1.011 is resolving a progression-blocking issue involving the Warden. Previously, the Warden character would sometimes disappear following the “Ascension” cutscene, preventing further story advancement. This patch fixes that bug to ensure the character remains present after the cinematic concludes.

Other changes included in the 1.011 patch include:

  • Cutscene Skipping: A new option has been added that allows players to skip choice-based cutscenes.
  • Stability Improvements: While the developer continues to monitor performance, players had previously reported various game crashes and error codes since the 1.005 update. This patch aims to address general stability issues alongside the specific Warden fix.

For players on consoles, the versioning for this update is aligned across both Xbox Series X/S and PS5. While specific download sizes were not detailed in the official release notes, the update is required for all players to access the new Photo Mode features and the corrected story triggers.
