Expansion of Series A Funding
Ringg AI has successfully secured $10 million in funding through a Series A extension round. This investment was led by Peak XV Partners, with continued support from existing investors Arkam Ventures and Capital 2B. This latest funding follows a $5.5 million raise in January 2024, bringing the startup’s total Series A funding to $15.5 million. The company, which initially operated as a text-to-speech service named DesiVocal, was established in October 2023 by founders Siddharth Shankar Tripathi, Utkarsh Shukla, and Kali Charan Vemuru.
Voice Technology and Operational Scale
The voice AI startup Ringg has built a platform capable of handling high-volume interactions, currently processing approximately 20 million call attempts every month. A primary technical advantage of their system is its low latency; the platform achieves a mean latency of 337ms for real-time conversations. This performance is significantly faster than the typical industry standard of 400ms to 1000ms. Such technical benchmarks are increasingly relevant as automated voice chat systems become a standard component of customer service architecture.
Client Integration and Linguistic Capabilities
The startup supports more than 20 languages, including Hindi, Arabic, German, and various regional Indian languages. This broad linguistic support has enabled the company to integrate with major Indian firms such as Groww, Policybazaar, CRED, and Flipkart. In the healthcare sector, the platform’s voice agents are active across 1,200 clinics on the Practo platform, where they manage appointment scheduling and patient follow-ups. While voice calls presently constitute 70% of the company’s activity, the startup is evolving its business model to include omnichannel agents for WhatsApp, browser-based automation, and chat interfaces.
Future Infrastructure and Market Reach
The new capital will be used to enhance proprietary AI models and invest in internal GPU infrastructure to support increasing demand. Ringg AI is also looking beyond the Indian market, with plans for international expansion into the United States and the Middle East. By strengthening its core technology and expanding its reach, the company aims to transition from a voice-focused provider to a comprehensive automation partner for global enterprises.
