SpaceXAI released version 0.3 of Grokipedia on October 1, 2026, signaling a significant shift in Elon Musk’s AI-driven information platform. The update serves as a formal relaunch following a five-month stagnation period where content updates had effectively ceased, marking the project’s transition from a experimental utility into a discovery-focused portal.
The overhaul introduces a content-heavy interface that moves away from the minimalist search bar defining the project’s early iterations. Now managed under the SpaceXAI banner—following SpaceX’s acquisition of xAI in February 2026—the platform is positioning itself as a more interactive alternative to traditional digital encyclopedias.
Benji Taylor, Head of Design for X and SpaceXAI, oversaw the visual refresh. Taylor introduced a 3D aesthetic featuring interactive digital representations of books that users can “spin” within the featured articles section. The homepage now features a new logo and prioritizes engagement through curated lists, including most-read entries and a tracker displaying recent revisions.

Despite the visual changes, the platform currently hosts more than 6 million articles.
The release of v0.3 effectively ends a “dark period” for the site that began on April 24, 2026. For nearly five months, the platform’s article growth and interface development had stalled. This week’s update restores active content indexing.
