No Man’s Sky Update 7.10, titled “Forsaken,” launched on October 28, 2026, across PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and VR. This update changes interstellar navigation by introducing seamless warping, allowing players to travel between systems without the need for the traditional Galaxy Map UI.

Seamless Interstellar Travel

The primary technical shift in the Forsaken update is the ability to target nearby stars directly from the cockpit while in space. By pointing the ship toward a visible star and initiating a warp, players can transition between systems without interrupting gameplay to navigate the 3D map. This provides a more direct approach to exploration, though it remains a warp-based transition between star clusters.

Forsaken Traders and Corvette Modules

The update introduces a new mission loop centered around Forsaken Traders located at deep-space outposts. These NPCs facilitate the acquisition of biomechanical corvette-class ship components. Key changes to this loop include:

  • Memento Exchange: Players can trade collected mementos for specific biomechanical corvette modules.
  • Deep-Space Outposts: New locations have been added specifically to house these traders and their unique inventories.

Base Building and Equipment Changes

Hello Games has adjusted the logic for resource gathering and planetary equipment. The Oxygen Harvester has been decoupled from base-building requirements, meaning it can now be constructed anywhere on a planetary surface to facilitate easier survival. Additionally, two new Larva-themed items have been added to the game:

  • Living Larva Cannon: A new Multi-Tool variant.
  • Larva Tank: A specialized cosmetic helmet.

Minimal HUD Mode and UI

For players seeking a more cinematic experience, a new Minimal HUD mode has been implemented. This setting reduces on-screen clutter by limiting the visibility of the compass, hazard protection meters, and standard notifications. According to Xbox Wire, the update also ensures the new seamless travel mechanics maintain stability during the loading of new star systems.
