Obsidian Entertainment has released patch 0.6.0.5 for Grounded 2, primarily targeting technical issues that interfered with player travel and co-op session stability. The update, which arrived on November 4, 2026, is available across PC (Steam and Windows/Microsoft Store), Xbox Series X|S, and PlayStation 5.

The most significant fix addresses the Public Transit System (PTS). Previously, if a player saved the game while using the PTS, the teleportation process could be interrupted, often forcing the player back to their original transit starting point. This update ensures that saving during transit no longer disrupts the travel sequence.

Gameplay and Co-op Fixes

The patch resolves a specific frustration for co-op players regarding “buggy” interactions. In previous versions, if a client died and the host subsequently saved and reloaded the game, certain interactive elements associated with the client would disappear. This has been corrected to maintain world state consistency during multi-session play.

Combat and crafting also received targeted adjustments:

  • Splinter Cannon: A bug that prevented the weapon from chaining charged shots while the trigger was held has been fixed.
  • Crafting UI: The developers fixed a navigation error where the menu would snap back to the original recipe selection when a player attempted to browse different recipes.

Stability and Performance

Stability remains a priority for the Early Access title, which first launched in July 2025. This update includes several fixes for high-frequency crashes and platform-specific hangs:

  • Resolved a “loading hang” on Xbox consoles that occurred when the game was suspended.
  • Fixed crashes related to world streaming and object memory exhaustion, which should improve long-term session stability.
  • Addressed a specific world geometry issue at the Gnarly Bark Outpost, closing a gap beneath the donut structure.

Visual Adjustments

Players using the Founder’s Pack skin will notice a visual improvement regarding equipment. A bug that caused hidden helmets to still cast shadows over the skin has been removed, ensuring the character model appears correctly in various lighting conditions.

For a full list of technical changes, players can view the official notes on the Obsidian Entertainment website. Grounded 2 continues its development in Early Access, following its 2025 launch.
