Black Panther and Spider-Man India Launch New Solo Titles in Marvel’s Comics This Week

Marvel Comics is releasing several new titles this week, including solo series for Black Panther and Spider-Man. Black Panther #1, written by Eve L. Ewing and illustrated by Chris Allen, sees T’Challa don a new Black Panther costume while he is both banished from and a fugitive in his home country, taking the hero in a new direction with new villains. Spider-Man: India, a four-issue miniseries by writer Nikesh Shukla and artist Abhishek Malsuni, introduces the titular Pavitr Prabhakar in a new adventure against a different kind of Lizard. The Captain Marvel series ends with Issue #50, as does Marvel’s Captain America: Cold War event, but the publisher is also celebrating Pride Month with Marvel’s Voices: Pride anthology one-shot. Set to feature LGBTQIA+ characters, this year’s one-shot includes Gwenpool, Black Cat, Wiccan, and Hulking, among others. Coincidentally, several ongoing series are releasing their fourth issues this week, including Clobberin’ Time, Cosmic Ghost Rider, Doctor Strange, Rogue & Gambit, and X-23: Deadly Regenesis, among others.
