In December, Sony announced that the Battle Royale game Spellbreak is available for PlayStation 4.
From the developer Proletariat Inc. Spellbreak takes over the traditional Battle Royale genre and adds magic. In the State of Play trailer, a group of three players land in front of a castle and compete against another team. The witches and wizards quickly break the formation and attack each other with powerful spells.
The game is played in third person and has a colorful, medieval atmosphere. The spells themselves are elemental. Players throw flashlights from the air or cover the ground with ice – whereupon a witch glides for a speed boost.
Spellbreak was released earlier this year in Alpha on PC. Players can shop exclusively for the Epic Store to play with the Founder Edition now.
The beta for Spellbreak will be released on PS4 in spring 2020.
