A new update for Need for Speed Unbound, known as Update 1.000.019, has recently been released. This update is accessible across all gaming platforms, as well as on PC. Players can now download this update, which introduces bug fixes, improvement updates, and patch notes for the game. It is worth noting that the file size of this update may differ depending on the gaming platform being used.

Need for Speed Unbound Update 1.000.019

Key Fixes

Allow players to go directly to MP Garage after leaving PVP

  • After leaving a PVP session, players will now be redirected straight back to the Multiplayer garage. This change eliminates unnecessary steps and allows players to quickly access the area they want to be in. The decision was made to prioritize player choice, as some may prefer to work on their vehicle setup or enter Free Roam upon exiting PVP.

Nitrous auxiliary items stop working when changing vehicles during playlists or rejoining a server

  • A bug causing all Nitrous auxiliary items to stop functioning when players changed vehicles during playlists or reconnected to a server has been resolved.

Addressed extreme flickering reported by users

  • The development team has implemented changes to mitigate the issue of extreme flickering experienced by players in-game. Specifically, adjustments were made to move TileLighting and NFS-SSR passes to the cached depth buffer usage to prevent inter-referencing and resolve the problem on AMD Vega GPUs.

Improved Idle Kick for players not progressing in PVP

  • A modification has been made to the Idle Kick feature, specifically targeting players who remain idle in PVP lobbies without actively participating in races. Players will now receive a warning if their mean velocity falls below 1mph, and will be automatically kicked after 60 seconds if they fail to take action. This adjustment aims to discourage inactive players from impeding the competition and creating obstacles on the track.

Other Fixes

  • Resolved an issue allowing players to use their own vehicles in playlists designated for loaner vehicles only
  • Fixed a bug in Story Mode that redirected users to the pause menu instead of the garage when attempting to exit the Speed Pass menu
  • Underglows unlocked through Speed Pass are now visible to other players on the server
  • Corrected an error where the PVP lobby playlist tier displayed as tier B instead of the correct tier
  • Prevented users from navigating through menus while in the Find Game menu
  • Fixed a camera glitch causing unexpected changes when a car was closely following the player’s vehicle

Overall, the update introduces significant improvements to enhance the gameplay experience and address various technical issues reported by the Need for Speed Unbound community.
