In a move that could be a quantum leap in its path, the Twitter platform has begun introducing the “Super Follows” feature, a new option that allows users to charge commissions for subscriber-only content.
Content creators can post their tweets to reach premium followers only. Tweets appear in the timelines of only those subscribers.
The feature, announced last February, is currently only available on the platform’s iOS app. It is limited to a group of test of people in the United States who have applied to try it.
IOS users in the US and in Canada can follow Super Follow accounts in the pool from test initial.
In parallel, paid subscribers are marked with a special Super Follower badge that distinguishes them from unpaid followers.

The badge appears in responses, increasing the follower’s ability to interact directly with the accounts they choose to support.
For accounts that have activated Super Follows, the option appears with a separate button on the account page.
IOS users only
Additionally, the platform plans to implement the functionality via iOS in more countries in the coming weeks and said it will soon be available on Android and the web.
Super Follows users can charge $ 2.99, $ 4.99, or $ 9.99 per month, with payments processed through Stripe.
The platform explained that users can earn up to 97% of subscription revenue after deducting third-party fees, all the way up to a lifetime earnings cap of $ 50,000 on all Twitter monetization products.
After reaching tale limit, the platform claimed that users can earn up to 80% of the revenue after deducting third-party fees.
People who do not have Super Follow can request a waitlist in the Monetization tab of the platform app.

Who qualifies?
To be eligible, people must have at least 10,000 followers. They must be at least 18 years old.
They must also have tweeted 25 times in the past 30 days. With presence in the United States. And adhere to the platform policy for distinguished followers.
The platform recently explored several monetization strategies for content creators. Includes tipping functionality, paid voice rooms, purchase section, and newsletter signup button.
Twitter added that it plans to add newsletters, anonymous subscriptions, exclusive audio rooms, and Patreon-like subscription plans to the new feature.
