NFL Grid Grouping: Divisional Holdings, TV Program for AFC, NFC

The NFL playoff bracket for the sectional round ended when the Seahawks beat the Eagles on Sunday to close the wild card round, which contained nothing but wild fun games to begin the NFL 2020 playoff.

Earlier on Sunday, the Vikings threw a huge upset at the Saints in New Orleans to advance to the sectional round, where they will play the top 49ers in San Francisco. However, Minnesota’s victory may not be considered the biggest playoff rider so far.

The Titans weren’t the only Patriots on the road to beat and ensured that a new team would win the Super Bowl this year, but could very well have ended Tom Brady’s tenure in New England. Tennessee will now travel to Baltimore for the division round.

The other playoff game in the AFC features the Texans and Chiefs. With the power of Deshaun Watson’s magic game, Houston won a supersonic thriller over Buffalo in the wild card round. Heading to Kansas City for Round 2.

1. Baltimore Ravens vs. 6. Tennessee Titans

Like everyone else, the Ravens probably weren’t expecting to pull the Titans in the sectional round because they demanded Tennessee’s amazing New England win in the wild-card round. After Tom Brady’s disappointment, a Titans defensive tackle pulls the shortest MVP to Lamar Jackson, who presents many different, tougher challenges. Baltimore opened as a favorite home with 10 points in Tennessee.

2. Kansas City coaches vs. 4. Houston Texas

The Texans beat the Bills in the wild card round to create a rematch of the regular season season 6 game against the Kansas City Chiefs. Houston won the game 31-24 with the power of 2018 passing yards by Deshaun Watson and 116 rushing yards by Carlos Hyde. Kansas City’s defense, however, has made great strides since that meeting. That is why the Chiefs opened as the eight-man favorite at home for the sectional round.

1. San Francisco 49ers vs. 6. Minnesota Vikings

Like the top Ravens in the AFC, the top 49ers in the NFC were probably shocked to come up with a game against the Vikings in the sectional round. San Francisco should know not to take Minnesota lightly. The same physical approach, which allowed the Vikings to upset the Saints on the road, would be useful in a 49ers defense that is stronger against the pass than it is against the run.

2. Green Bay Packers vs. 5. Seatah Seahawks

This is a juicy partial round match between two high profile teams. (It also means we could have an NFC West or NFC North Championship set.) The football world is getting another glorious week of Marshawn Lynch playing running backs for the Seahawks. This is an ideal scenario for everyone except the Packers fans, as Green Bay has struggled to stop running all season, and Seattle is a strong team to rush, no matter who is in the backfield. The good thing is that the home team will have Aaron Rodgers.

NFL TV Playoff Part

The four split-playoff NFL games are split between three networks, with CBS scheduled to air a game on Saturday and Sunday. ESPN, which presented the Texans’ wild card over the bills, doesn’t play a partial round game.

Unlike in previous years, when the Sunday Divisional playoffs started with windows that look like regular season games, the starting times for Sunday’s game play are the same as those for the AFC and NFC championships.
