The complaint details a relationship that began in 2020 after the two met through the dating website “Seeking” (formerly known as SeekingArrangement). According to court records, the financial transfers involved in the case were substantial and included payments for luxury items and real estate. Reported court documents indicate that the funds provided to Lopez were used to acquire high-end vehicles and a luxury home.

The wealth at the center of the litigation stems from the estate of Erik Cassel, who co-founded the gaming platform Roblox alongside David Baszucki. Erik Cassel served as the company’s vice president of engineering and was a pivotal figure in its early development before he passed away from cancer in 2013.
While the specific legal charges focus on the recovery of nearly $6 million, the complaint highlights the significant financial drain occurring between 2020 and 2024.
