My Chemical Romance has consolidated its global business operations by signing an exclusive worldwide administration agreement with Warner Chappell Music. The deal, announced on October 15, 2026, covers the band’s entire catalog—including their four studio albums—and explicitly includes future works.
This move brings the band’s publishing administration under the same corporate umbrella as their recorded music and merchandise, which are handled by Warner Music Group’s Reprise Records and Warner Music Artist & Label Services. Under the terms of the administration agreement, the band members retain ownership of their compositions while the publisher manages licensing, royalties, and administrative logistics. The band’s publishing was previously handled by Sony.

Record-Breaking Tour Finale
The timing of the agreement coincides with the conclusion of a massive stadium run that has reaffirmed the band’s commercial standing. My Chemical Romance is scheduled to become the first band in history to perform five shows at the Hollywood Bowl during a single tour residency. The record-breaking run is set for October 21, 23, 24, 30, and 31, 2026.
The finale serves as a cornerstone for the 20th-anniversary celebrations of their seminal album, The Black Parade. On October 23, 2026, a deluxe edition of the album will be released, featuring original session material and new artwork by James Jean.
Future Works and New Material
The inclusion of “future works” in the Warner Chappell contract has intensified speculation regarding a long-awaited fifth studio album. While the band has not officially announced a new project, frontman Gerard Way addressed the possibility during a performance in San Antonio in September 2026. Way told the audience that the band “would love to make another record” and suggested that they “owe” the fans new music.
The unification of their business interests suggests a strategic preparation for the band’s next phase. By aligning their publishing, masters, and touring infrastructure within the Warner ecosystem, the group has simplified the licensing and distribution pipeline for potential future releases and media placements.
Since their 2019 reunion, My Chemical Romance has maintained a deliberate pace, releasing only one new single, “The Foundations of Decay,” in 2022. However, the current scale of their touring business and the formalization of this new publishing deal indicate that the band is positioning itself for a sustained presence in the industry beyond their anniversary celebrations.
