Olga Kurylenko and Alex Pettyfer are set to reunite for the upcoming crime thriller “Breakwater.” WestEnd Films has boarded the project to handle international sales, which will officially launch at the American Film Market (AFM) in November 2026.

The production is scheduled to begin filming in Malta in April 2027.

Directed by Luc Walpoth, “Breakwater” follows Iris (Kurylenko), who orchestrates an extortion plot against her cruel husband (Pettyfer) while aboard his luxury yacht. To carry out the scheme, Iris forms an alliance with a barmaid named Daya. Walpoth’s previous directing credits include “Dead Money” and “In Tandem.”

A stone with crashing waves under heavy clouds
The film is described as a 'Mediterranean neo-noir' focusing on high-stakes tension.

The film features a screenplay by Tad Daggerhart and is produced by Jib Polhemus, Kurt Wimmer, Hannah Leader, and Daggerhart.

“Breakwater” serves as a professional reunion for the two leads. Kurylenko and Pettyfer previously shared the screen in the 2024 spy thriller “Chief of Station.”

The production team brings significant experience in the action and thriller genres. WestEnd Films continues to build its slate of genre-driven international titles heading into the 2026 market cycle.
