Research updated October 15, 2026. We compared five released hosted AI website builders, matching the five-product scope authorized by the review queue. These are tools for creating and operating websites, not no-code application builders or general-purpose chatbots. AI can draft a page, but site ownership, renewals, payments, accessibility, privacy and CMS maintenance determine whether the site remains useful after launch.
This is a documentary comparison. We did not subscribe to the products, generate sample sites, measure speed, run accessibility audits or perform uptime tests. For general AI assistants see our published AI chatbots guide. Our earlier Wix AI Site Generator report concerns a different, older Wix release.
Methodology and research-only editorial scores
Weighted criteria: generated-site quality and subsequent editing controls 25%; total cost and renewals 20%; CMS and business functionality 20%; SEO and accessibility controls 15%; portability 10%; privacy, support and region transparency 10%. These are research judgments, not measured benchmarks. A score difference of a few tenths is not statistical evidence of superiority.

P001 — Wix Harmony and Wix Core
Research-only score: 8.9/10. Official price: $29/month on annual US Core plan; $17/month Light is more limited.
Released AI workflow and site-management features
Wix Harmony combines AI-generated pages and content with a visual editor. The free editor is useful for drafting, while Core adds payments and stronger business features. The platform also has templates, booking and store integrations. It suits local businesses needing owners to edit content without code.
What costs extra, what can be exported, and who should avoid it
Wix states that a Wix website cannot be hosted elsewhere because its platform features depend on Wix services. Domains can move, but a complete site export is not available. Budget for paid apps, domain renewal, payment fees and staff training.
Independent context and practical editorial judgment
Independent TechRadar comparisons favor Wix for broad usability. That does not establish that every AI-generated Wix site is fast or accessible. Check keyboard navigation, mobile layouts, headings, local-business data and the actual store checkout before launch.
Evidence: official current plan or product page; independent professional comparisons at TechRadar. Prices vary by region, billing commitment, taxes and checkout date.
P002 — Hostinger AI Builder Premium
Research-only score: 8.6/10. Official price: Pakistan promotion PKR 599/month when 48 months are prepaid, total PKR 28,752; renews PKR 1,699/month.
Released AI workflow and site-management features
Hostinger’s Premium builder includes hosting, a first-year domain promotion, templates, up to three sites and AI generation. Its current Pakistan listing mentions five AI credits for site/app creation. Verify whether credits are one-time promotional allowances rather than monthly credits. Unlimited is a different, higher tier with broader ecommerce support.
What costs extra, what can be exported, and who should avoid it
The headline price is not a month-to-month subscription. Multiply by 48 and add future domain, email and renewal costs. Hostinger documents a WordPress content export for pages, text and images, but layouts, stores, forms, integrations and SEO settings do not transfer intact.
Independent context and practical editorial judgment
TechRadar rates Hostinger favorably for entry price, but this review has not tested its server response, Core Web Vitals or uptime. It is best for smaller sites where speed of setup and upfront budget matter more than extensive CMS flexibility.

P003 — Squarespace Blueprint AI with Core
Research-only score: 8.4/10. Official price: Approximately $29/month US annual equivalent for Core after 2026 increases; checkout and region vary.
Released AI workflow and site-management features
Blueprint AI asks about the business and generates a multipage visual starting point. Fluid Engine then supports manual page edits. Squarespace is well suited to portfolios, services and visually coherent editorial sites. Its Core plan has broader business capabilities than Basic, while commerce and payments depend on region.
What costs extra, what can be exported, and who should avoid it
Pricing changed during 2026 and legacy accounts may have different renewals. Squarespace states Plus availability depends on Squarespace Payments support. Confirm local payment processors, transaction fees, form handling and any extra scheduling subscription. Content export is not a portable copy of its editor and commerce features.
Independent context and practical editorial judgment
TechRadar’s Squarespace review praises design flexibility while identifying limits to third-party integrations. A stylish AI page still needs accessibility testing, accurate claims, semantic headings, privacy notices, search metadata and review of all generated images.
Evidence: official current plan or product page; independent professional comparisons at TechRadar. Prices vary by region, billing commitment, taxes and checkout date.
P004 — Framer 3.0 AI with Basic
Research-only score: 8.3/10. Official price: Basic $10/month billed annually; Pro $30/month annually; extra editor seats $20/month.
Released AI workflow and site-management features
Framer’s 2026 AI agents can generate responsive layouts, improve copy, organize CMS records and assist with SEO and accessibility review. Its published AI-credit guide lists 1,000 credits monthly for Basic and 3,000 for Pro; complex page generation consumes more than small edits. Basic includes two CMS collections and Pro ten.
What costs extra, what can be exported, and who should avoid it
Framer says native HTML export for independent hosting is not supported. Its managed rendering, image processing and publishing remain tied to the service. Additional editors, localization and CMS complexity can increase costs. Trial credits do not imply unlimited production generation.
Independent context and practical editorial judgment
Choose Framer for visually led marketing pages and teams comfortable with a design canvas. Do not infer measured loading speed or WCAG compliance from its marketing materials. Inspect mobile breakpoints, motion preferences, contrast and screen-reader reading order manually.

P005 — Webflow AI Site Builder with Premium
Research-only score: 8.2/10. Official price: Basic $15/month annually, Premium $25/month annually; monthly billing higher and team seats extra.
Released AI workflow and site-management features
Webflow’s September 2026 AI Site Builder documentation confirms prompt-based generation for new sites. Free setup is limited to two pages; paid plans allow up to five initially generated pages and additional editing. Premium combines CMS capabilities with a design-system-oriented editor and up to 20,000 CMS items and 40 collections.
What costs extra, what can be exported, and who should avoid it
AI site generation does not retrofit arbitrary older Webflow projects. Its site builder does not consume Webflow AI credits, but other AI tools may. Code export requires a paid Workspace, not merely a paid Site plan, and does not include functioning CMS, ecommerce, forms or localization.
Independent context and practical editorial judgment
Webflow is attractive for structured content and marketing teams, not necessarily the simplest choice for a nontechnical solo business. Budget for workspace seats, ecommerce, translation and future migration. Check generated sections before regeneration, which can replace prior page edits.

Buying checklist: five decisions before checkout
1. Calculate first-term and renewal cost
A monthly equivalent on an annual or four-year plan is not a monthly charge. Include domain renewal, mailboxes, extra editors, AI credit top-ups, transaction fees, payment processing, premium applications and taxes. A promotional four-year commitment can cost more over the site’s life than a higher-priced annual product. Ask for a written renewal quote before buying.
2. Test the business workflow, not just the generated home page
For service sites, verify booking, hours, staff permissions, leads and form notifications. For a shop, verify regional payment gateways, inventory, taxes, refunds and customer data. For a content site, inspect CMS limits, collections, authorship, tags, canonical links, redirects, sitemap output and editorial permissions. These requirements matter more than a striking first design.
3. Verify SEO, accessibility and accuracy manually
Generated descriptions can invent testimonials, awards, contact details or guarantees. Replace them with verified information. Check mobile navigation, image alternatives, keyboard focus, headings, contrast, consent banners, metadata and structured data. AI marketing claims do not prove search rankings, WCAG compliance or fast Core Web Vitals.
4. Rehearse migration before a long contract
Wix explains its hosting dependence; Hostinger explains partial content export; Webflow explains paid-Workspace code export limitations. Framer’s official help explains its lack of native self-hosted HTML export. Moving a domain is not the same as moving a working CMS, store or site design.
5. Compare privacy and regional availability
Before sending customer data or proprietary drafts into an AI generator, review the service’s current privacy terms, subprocessors, data-use settings, retention and export controls. Confirm whether payments, multilingual features, localization and support are offered in the country where the business operates. The listed prices are October 15 snapshots, not guarantees.
FAQ
Which is best for a local business?
Wix is the most versatile research pick for bookings and payments. Hostinger is compelling for a budget brochure site, but requires attention to prepayment and renewal. Squarespace is strongest for a guided visual brand experience. Framer favors design-led landing pages; Webflow favors structured content.
Which allows source-code export?
Webflow has an official code export route on paid Workspace plans, but not a complete working CMS or ecommerce export. The other hosted builders have varying content-export limits and depend more heavily on their managed publishing platforms.
Are AI-generated sites automatically SEO-ready?
No. They may provide editing and metadata tools, but factual quality, indexing, content usefulness, internal linking, accessibility and performance still require review. We have not measured SEO results or performance for any of these five services.
