The President of the Sudanese Sovereignty Council, Lieutenant General Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan, met the Special Envoy of the Kingdom of Norway in his office today in Sudan and South Sudan, Dr. Andre Estansen.
During the meeting, Al-Burhan praised Norway’s favorable positions in Sudan in various fields, in in particular his continuous support to the processes of pace and stability, underlining its commitment and support for a comprehensive Sudanese dialogue process that includes political forces and community organizations, with the exception of the National Conference to lift the country out of the crisis it is experiencing.
In turn, the Norwegian envoy explained that the meeting passed in reviews the current challenges that Sudan is facing, underlining the need to initiate a process of global national dialogue to get out of the current crisis, which he described as difficult.
