“Champions” quorum reached in absence of Monaco

French Monaco will miss the Champions League group stage due to an own goal by Robin Aguilar in the second extra period against Ukraine’s Shakhtar Donetsk, while the quorum was completed with the qualification of Moldovan Sherif Tiraspol for the first time in his history and the Austrian Red Bull Salzburg. Monaco has entered in match in front of his host after falling in the emirate with an unanswered goal, but seemed to be on the right track when he advanced 2-0 thanks to his star Wissam Ben Yedder (18 and 39), but the hosts responded with Marlos (74)) closing the opening time 2-1, which would not have given Monaco qualification, had it not been for the abolition of the goal rule in away from this season. The two teams played two games in more, and when substitute Michalo Modric was passing a cross, Aguilar struck, who entered the 99th minute and followed her way down, “Loeb” in net.

Moldovan Sherif Tiraspol reached the group stage of continental competition for the first time in its history, following a goalless draw with Croatian hosts Dinamo Zagreb, as well as a 3-0 first-leg win. Austrian Red Bull Salzburg renewed a 2-1 win over Denmark’s Brondby.

The draw for the Champions League will be held on Thursday at the European Union headquarters for the “Wifa” match in Nyon, in Swiss.
