Corey Perry of the “Dallas Stars” did the “walk of shame” – and Twitter had a race day with it

The Winter Classic is a staple in the NHL calendar and this year’s edition was no different.

But for the Dallas Stars running forward Corey Perry, it ended in just two minutes and 44 seconds when he fired to hug Ryan Ellis of the Nashville Predators in the head. Ellis (concussion) did not return to the game.

Normally, when a player fires, they go right into the tunnel and into their closet. Well, with the ice rink in the middle of the Cotton Bowl – the walk to the Stars locker room on Wednesdays was a bit longer than usual.

So, of course, Twitter did what Twitter does and had some fun with Perry’s adventure.

I love the walk of shame about Corey Perry. Every arena needs that.
