What is the Plot of Dragon Ball GT: A Hero’s Legacy?

All of Goku’s friends and family have died one hundred years after he fights Omega Shenron, with the exception of his granddaughter, Pan, who is now old. She has a great-great-grandson named Goku Jr., who looks a lot like his great-great-great-grandfather Goku. Nonetheless, she lacks the latter’s spirit and battling spirit. Pan brings Goku Jr. to the cemetery to pay her grandfather’s respects and attempts to prepare him to be a fighter, but he lacks confidence. He gets tormented at school by his classmate Puck and his group. Pan faints and is hospitalized after being enraged that Goku Jr. did not defend himself.

Goku Jr. recalls the myth of the mystical Dragon Ball that grants wishes and intends to use it to heal Pan. The following day, he runs into Puck and his crew and tells them he’s headed to Mount Paozu, but he’s mocked. Goku Jr., enraged, releases part of his power and knocks down the bullies. A truck driver offers Goku Jr. a lift after following the route for hours but later takes his stuff as he exits the vehicle to relieve himself. Goku Jr. runs up to Puck again in a wayside food shop, and this time he decides to accompany him to Mount Paozu to witness a monster eat him. The Puck takes a supermarket cart full of food to stock up on supplies for the long journey. Goku Jr. informs Puck about his desire to heal Pan. Even though Puck does not believe in the Dragon Balls, he agrees to assist on the off chance it may work, stating that he admires Pan’s strength.

After conquering hurdles along the road, Goku Jr. and Puck are stopped by a long wooden bridge that appears to be extremely unstable. Puck is the first to cross the bridge, followed by Goku Jr., who walks hesitantly and stumbles owing to severe gusts. Puck works hard to save Goku Jr., who is dangling on a rope above a dangerous ditch below. The Puck falls into the pit after the bridge collapses. Goku Jr. successfully crosses the ravine and continues his trek on his own.

After another long journey, Goku Jr. faces a dangerous pig-like creature. A brown bear attacks the monster, grateful to Goku Jr. for assisting her cub earlier. Enraged, Goku Jr. turns into a Super Saiyan. He effortlessly beats the monster and sleeps. He has no recollection of the transformation when he awakens. He then gets to Mount Paozu and discovers an ancient mansion. Inside, he finds the four-star Dragon Ball and assumes, incorrectly, that just one ball is required to grant the wish.

He attempts and fails to grant Pan’s request. He yells at the Dragon Ball and throws it away in a rage. The Dragon Ball falls to Goku Jr.’s ancestor, Goku, who says he must gather all seven to make a wish. Goku tells his descendant that despite what he believes of himself, he is powerful and fearless. Pan and Puck are onboard a helicopter when it suddenly drops. Goku Jr. is overjoyed to discover that everyone is still alive and healthy, saying that the Dragon Ball granted his desire. He turns to face Goku, who has gone, until Goku’s voice reminds him that his bravery saved his grandmother and Puck’s lives. Goku bids farewell to Goku Jr., who boards the helicopter with enhanced power and the four-star Dragon Ball.
