Manchester United announces the absence of Ronaldo from the squad for the Chelsea match

LONDON: Manchester United announced in a statement today, Thursday, that the team’s striker, Cristiano Ronaldo, will not be included in the squad for Chelsea’s match in the English Premier League on Saturday. Substitute Ronaldo, who did not take part in Wednesday’s 2-0 win over Tottenham Hotspur, entered the locker room minutes before the end of the match after manager Eric Ten Hag left him again in Park bench. “Cristiano Ronaldo will not be part of Manchester United’s squad for Saturday’s Premier League match against Chelsea,” the statement read. “The rest of the team is completely focused on preparing for that match.” The 37-year-old Portuguese international scored 24 goals in all competitions with Manchester United last season, but only started two games in this season in championship. United are fifth with 19 points, one point behind fourth-placed Chelsea after ten games. (Reuters)
