Could Avengers: Twilight be akin to Avengers: Disassembled?
Marvel’s teaser image shows the Avengers logo being split in half, leaving fans curious about what the “final days” of Earth’s Mightiest Heroes could mean. One possibility is that it may follow in the footsteps of Avengers: Disassembled, which marked the end of a particular iteration of the team. However, it is worth noting that the current Avengers, run by Jed MacKay and C.P. Villa, is still in its early stages.
Could Avengers: Twilight be a story set in the future?

Marvel has previously explored this concept with titles like The Last Avengers Story, which offered a dark and gripping take on the group’s last stand in a future timeline. Chip Zdarsky has a history of crafting innovative takes on familiar characters, such as his Spider-Man miniseries Spider-Man: Life Story and Spider-Man: Spider’s Shadow. These stories have explored alternative timelines and “What If…?” scenarios. Given Zdarsky’s previous work, Avengers: Twilight could present a completely fresh perspective on the Avengers’ story.
