NFL 2020 Order Plan: Up-to-date list of options for each team after a wild card playoff

Welcome to the NFL Draft for 2020, Bills, Patriots, Saints and Eagles. The wild card losers of the NFL playoffs are officially placed between Pick Nos 21-24.

Philadelphia, which has just reached the postseason with the NFC East title at 9-7, gets the 21st pick thanks to having the worst record among the four lost wild cards. The Eagles are followed by the Bills (10-6), Patriots (12-4) and Saints (13-3) in the draft order.

(The teams that have been promoted to Pick Nos 25-32 are still alive in the NFL playoffs.)

In Sporting News’ latest NFL rationale for 2020, Bengals Land LSU coach Joe Burrow with the No. 1 overall pick.

“Offensive coach Jacques Taylor needs a past franchise with Andy Dalton fading and Ryan Finley not showing much,” writes Vinnie Iyer of SN. “Burrow enjoys a meteoric rise as a Heisman Trophy winner and a top prospect QB in this category. At 6-3, 215 pounds, he combines his mental and physical endurance in the pocket with a strong hand and accurate delivery.”

At No. 2 overall, the Redskins, now driven by a new, defensive lineman at Ron Rivera, are jumping at the chance to land Ohio State rusher Chase Young.

Because we have Washington to stick with Dwayne Haskins and move to a QB and because the other teams in Miami probably won’t go for a QB, the Dolphins at No. 5 should have their pick from the rest of the QBs, probably Tua Tagovailoa of Alabama or Justin Herbert of Oregon. We go with Tua, with Herbert falling to the Panthers.
