Qatar is among the four countries that want to host the 2023 Asian Cup

Doha: The Asian Football Confederation announced today Monday that Qatar, South Korea, Australia and Indonesia have expressed their interest in hosting the Asian Cup next year, after China withdrew from the organization. The AFC said it had received wishes from four countries to host the tournament, but said the deadline for receiving organizational files would be August 31, while the winning country would be announced on October 17 via the Executive Committee. China was supposed to host the tournament with the participation of 24 teams in June and July next year, but apologized for not hosting due to the desire to completely get rid of Covid-19. Qatar will host the World Cup finals from November 21 to December 18, e in previously hosted the Asian Cup in 1988 and 2011, while it won the title of the last edition in the Emirates in 2019. The Asian Confederation had opened its doors to the candidacy to host the Asian Cup on 31 May / May and fix a deadline until the end of June to receive requests, before extending it until July 15.
