The newest leak surrounding the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S23 FE (Fan Edition) provides a glimpse into the array of colors that will be available for this more affordable flagship phone.
Introduction to the Galaxy S23 FE
Samsung releases a flagship phone early in the year and usually follows it up with a Fan Edition version during the holiday season. The Fan Edition trims away a few features but is offered at a lower price. With the release of the Galaxy S23 in February, fans have eagerly awaited news about the Galaxy S23 FE. According to a report by MSPoweruser, the Galaxy S23 FE will be available in four colors.
The Colors of the Galaxy S23 FE
The leaked photo provided to MSPoweruser reveals that the Galaxy S23 FE will come in pearl white, black graphite, deep purple lavender, and pastel green olive hues. It is worth noting that this is fewer color options compared to the six colors that were available for the Galaxy S23.
Design and Features
Based on the leaked renders, the Galaxy S23 FE has a design that closely resembles the Samsung Galaxy S23. The back of the phone showcases a vertical “stoplight” arrangement with three cameras, although the flash located next to the lenses appears slightly lower than Samsung’s flagship phone. In terms of design, the S23 FE features a flat back and sides, rounded corners, and a silver metallic color and finish across all models. This differs from the standard S23, where the exterior frame elegantly matches or complements the phone’s colors.
Galaxy FE Series Challenges
In recent years, the Galaxy FE series has faced challenges due to supply chain disruptions caused by the pandemic. These disruptions led to delays in the release of earlier models. For instance, the Galaxy S21 FE missed its late-year 2021 window and was awkwardly launched in early 2022 alongside the brand-new Galaxy S22 flagship. Interestingly, Samsung chose to skip the Galaxy S22 FE entirely. Despite these challenges, leaks and rumors suggest that the Galaxy S23 FE is developing. The question that remains is when Samsung will officially announce it.
Currently, Samsung has not responded to a request for comment regarding the Galaxy S23 FE.
