The Dallas Stars are auctioned off Corey Perry’s Winterly Classic Jersey

The Dallas Stars in front of Corey Perry haven’t gotten to wear their special classic winter shirt for New Year’s Eve – but a lucky fan will soon get it forever.

The NHL and fanatics reported the jersey as open for auction – with the hilarious phrase “WORN PRURING FIRST PERIOD” in the title track – before the Stars had even completed their 4-2 win against the Predators in the 12th NHL Winter Classic.

Perry’s shot just two minutes and 44 seconds into his first season at the Cotton Bowl on Wednesday drew a lot of attention during the day’s celebrations. It first hit fans and the media that the penalty was a brief moment (Perry is the first player to receive a misconduct in the Winter Classic) and then gained a reputation as a Twitter mogul thanks to a long distance the outer ice surface in the locker rooms of the court.

Perry received a 15-minute penalty for his elbow to Predators coach Ryan Ellis, and will likely face additional discipline after hearing with the NHL’s safety section on Friday. It looks like he won’t get to keep the shirt he was wearing for just 38 seconds of ice time unless he chooses to bid for the item himself.

The auction, which is scheduled to last until January 14 at 9:19 pm ET, has already seen 14 bids met for Perry’s skirt for a while. Offer today is $ 900.00 with 12 days stay. Anyone interested in owning the shirt can bid for it here.
