With the release of the iPhone 14, Apple is introducing several new colors and upgrades. Furthermore, recent leaks of the iPhone 14 Pro suggest a possible design for the top-tier iPhones this year.
Leaked images of what is likely iPhone 14 Pro dummy units show off all five rumored colors for the Pro models. These expand upon the previously leaked images we saw, which only provided a glimpse of one of the available colors.
As can be seen, the range features the tried-and-true white, black, and gold tones of previous years, as well as two brand-new colors, blue and purple. Since dummy phones don’t require real antennas, the lines that would generally match the color of the phone’s body are instead white.
Purple is a brand-new color for a new iPhone. The only other purple iPhones were the iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 mini, which came out in the middle of their launch year. But the purple Apple chose for this model is so dark that it doesn’t match the matte finishes on other Pro iPhones or the pastel color that the iPhone 12 had.
On the other hand, blue was available at launch for both the iPhone 12 and the iPhone 13 series, but in two different shades than we see here. If there is a new blue option, it looks darker than the Pacific Blue on the iPhone 12 Pro and the Sierra Blue on the iPhone 13 Pro.
From the first look, Apple has used much darker and more vibrant colors than in previous Pro iPhones. The purple iPhone looks much better with more natural light in the image, so hopefully, this is how the real thing will look.
But there are more things to look forward to than just new iPhone colors. Significant changes are coming to the iPhone 14 Pro, like a new design with a notch, a higher-resolution 48MP main camera, and an always-on display. People think the regular iPhone 14 will get fewer updates, but it could at least get a better selfie camera.
We know that Apple’s next event will be on September 7, and we also know that the Apple Watch 8 and Apple Watch SE 2 could be announced at this event, along with new iPhones.
