F. Gary Gray, best known for directing movies like Straight Outta Compton, The Italian Job, Men in Black: International, The Negotiator, and Set it Off, will be responsible for directing Netflix’s Lift. Gray has also directed many music videos for a wide variety of musicians. Daniel Kunka wrote the screenplay for Lift.
In addition, many well-known producers have signed up to work on the film. Matt Reeves and Adam Kassan produce Lift for 6th & Idaho, while Hart and Brian Smiley produce it for their company, HartBeat Productions. Simon Kinberg and Audrey Chon produce Lift for Genre Pictures.

When will Lift become available to stream on Netflix?
In the first movie, slate reveal for 2023, it was stated that Lift will debut on Netflix on August 25th, 2023. However, a subsequent update for the summer 2023 slate stated that the movie would no longer debut in the summer of 2023. As a result, we can now confirm that Lift will not debut on Netflix in the summer of 2023.
Instead, a representative for Netflix confirmed that the movie’s release date will be announced later.
What’s the plot of Lift?

Who will be starring in Lift?
Only Kevin Hart was publicly recognized as a member of the Lift cast as of October 2021, when the show was released on Netflix. Kevin Hart is well known for signing a contract with Netflix in January 2021 (which was compared to the scope of the deals that Adam Sandler had made), in which he agreed to produce four original films for Netflix via his production company, HartBeat.

What’s the production status of Lift?
The shooting took place between February 18th and May 25th, 2022.
In March of 2022, BelfastLive confirmed filming would occur in the city. In early March 2022, when filming was still going on, the report states that Hart also performed at a comedy club in the area.
According to a local portal, the following locations are being used for filming in Belfast:
“The production was taking place in front of the historic pub on Great Victoria Street known as The Crown Liquor Saloon, and Harte was seen walking from the Europa Hotel in the neighborhood.”
Additional production listings have verified that most filming is taking place at Belfast’s Harbour Studios, which is also where filming took place for The School for Good and Evil on Netflix.
