Wanda Sykes and Regina Y. Hicks worked together to make The Upshaws. On the creative side, Sykes has written and directed shows like History of the World: Part II, Last Comic Standing, and several of her own series and stand-up specials. Sykes was also one of the top producers of the TV show The Upshaws. Hicks has written for and been the executive producer of some TV shows, including Girlfriends, Insecure, The L Word: Generation Q, and Instant Mom. As a co-producer, Tony Hicks has worked on shows like That ’90s Show, the iCarly reboot, and Young Sheldon. Marc Solakian makes shows; the last one he made was Lopez vs. Lopez. Besides Marlon, Grandfathered, and Sean Save the World, he also worked on Marlon. Mark Alton Brown helps run The Upshaws as an associate producer and co-executive producer.
