Titanfall 2 VR Mod Features Motion Controls and Physical Titan Cockpits

Titanfall 2, Respawn Entertainment’s 2016 shooter, has received a comprehensive virtual reality conversion that transforms its single-player campaign into a native-feeling VR experience. Released on September 30, 2026, the mod—developed by Jordan Juarez, known as CircuitLord—moves beyond basic camera adjustments to include full motion controller support and manual reloading mechanics.

While many VR mods for legacy titles function as “wrappers” that still require a gamepad, this implementation provides full six-degree-of-freedom (6DOF) tracking. Players can physically reach for weapons, perform manual reload gestures, and interact with the environment. Notably, the mod introduces physical cockpit controls for the Titan segments, allowing players to pull levers and press buttons within the mech’s interior rather than relying on keyboard prompts.

The project’s polished state is particularly striking given its approximately one-month development cycle. Juarez reportedly utilized AI-assisted engineering to accelerate the reverse-engineering process. This approach allowed for the rapid implementation of complex features, such as the manual reload system for every weapon in the game’s arsenal, which typically takes far longer in traditional mod development.

According to a Road to VR report, the mod currently focuses exclusively on the single-player campaign, with no multiplayer functionality available.

The mod is compatible with the Steam, EA App, and Xbox/PC Game Pass versions of the game.

By combining developer effort with AI-assisted coding tools, the project was completed on a tight timeline. For now, the mod stands as the most complete way to experience Titanfall 2’s narrative from a first-person perspective, provided the player has a capable PC and a compatible headset.
