PlayStation 5 Consoles on Sale Soon in the US and Europe

A temporary sale on PlayStation 5 consoles will be announced soon for the United States and Europe.

According to reliable data miner Billbil-Kun, PS5 consoles will soon receive temporary discounts in Germany, the UK, and the United States, following recent promotional campaigns in Spain, Portugal, and France.

Sale Details:

  • Germany: €75 reduction (€474.99 instead of €549.99)
  • United States: $50 reduction ($449.99 instead of $499.99)
  • Great Britain: £75 reduction (£405 instead of £480)

The sale reductions will be valid on the official Playstation store (PlayStation Direct) and retailers in each country, such as Amazon, MediaMarkt, Target, and Game, according to Billbil-Kun.

Last August, Sony raised PS5 prices in Europe, Japan, and parts of North America but not in the US, citing a challenging global economic environment. In contrast, Xbox announced plans to increase the price of the Xbox Series X console and Xbox Game Pass subscriptions nearly a year later.

“We’ve held on our prices for consoles for many years and have adjusted the prices to reflect the competitive conditions in each market,” said Kari Perez, Microsoft’s head of gaming communications, in a statement to AsumeTech at the time.
